Emergency disaster reduction and rescue expo showcases industrial advancements

The successful conclusion of the third Yangtze River Delta International Emergency Disaster Reduction and Rescue Expo on May 15 heralded a significant achievement in Shanghai.

With 532 industry representatives, nearly 80,000 professional visitors, and a lineup of 18 forums, 20 showcases, and seven science events, the expo showcased advancements in emergency management.

The event highlighted six key exhibition areas, focusing on emergency disaster reduction, rescue equipment, safety products, industry services, science experiences, and collaborative development. This year's event also saw the influx of participating technology and high-tech enterprises, all of which came to showcase their safety emergency sector-related innovations.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) stole the show, with companies like Nanjing Aerospace Intelligent Equipment Co Ltd unveiling cutting-edge UAV systems for emergency rescue operations. Additionally, Zephyr Intelligence (Shanghai) Co Lt. introduced its new lithium battery safety system.

The expo emphasized urban safety challenges and solutions, with a focus on urban resilience. Collaborative efforts between institutions like the New Era Research Institute and Tongji University's Urban Risk Management Research Institute showcased products and solutions for urban safety and emergency management.

The event underscored Shanghai's commitment to building a resilient and safe city, emphasizing regional emergency coordination mechanisms and the continuous improvement of safety development capabilities in the Yangtze River Delta region.

The expo not only showcased cutting-edge technologies and equipment, but also highlighted the importance of practical and effective solutions for emergency scenarios. Plans are for this event to continue contributing to the advancement of urban safety and emergency management practices in the region.
