Jinan holds event for China Tourism Day

The Jinan venue event for China Tourism Day was held at the Fuxue Wenmiao, commonly known as the Confucian Temple in Jinan, on May 19.

The event celebrated the city's vibrancy and charm, inviting the world to express their love for Jinan.

At the event, a program themed on "exploring Jinan through poetry" was officially launched. The program highlights the cultures of poetry and two representative figures, Xin Qiji (1140-1207) and Li Qingzhao (1084-1155), in Chinese literary history through various cultural tourism activities, promoting tourism in scenic spots, cultural districts, and museums, and offering specially curated travel routes.

Jinan is dedicated to creating immersive consumption experiences and developing themed cultural products. By integrating culture with tourism, the city aims to inspire visitors to explore its rich poetic heritage.

During the event, certificates were awarded to the first batch of new representatives of Jinan culture and tourism, including intangible cultural heritage inheritor Li Juan, cultural and tourism influencer Yuan Fei, volunteer guide Lang Xue, and Peking Opera actor Ma Liang.

Despite their diverse backgrounds, these individuals have all actively promoted Jinan's image and stories in their respective fields, bringing new vitality to the city's cultural and tourism development. They pledged to continue leveraging their unique skills to contribute to Jinan's cultural growth.

Awards were also presented to 22 organizations for their exceptional contributions to Jinan's tourism industry in 2023. Honorees included Shandong Hotel, Baotu Spring Scenic Area, Qianfo Mountain Scenic Area, Jiaoji Railway Museum, and Impression Jinan·Spring World. Each has significantly advanced Jinan's cultural and tourism sectors through their distinctive strengths.

In celebration of the 14th "China Tourism Day" on May 19, 23 tourist attractions in Jinan offered limited-time discounts of 50 percent or more on tickets. Throughout May, nearly 100 cultural tourism activities were launched, providing people with convenient and affordable cultural tourism experiences.
