In Wuxi National Hi-Tech District, also known as Wuxi New District, major projects are driving economic vitality and progress.
Since the beginning of this year, the district has implemented 57 major projects at the municipal level, involving industries such as integrated circuits, intelligent equipment, and biopharmaceuticals. There are plans for 17 new projects, with 13 already underway.
The Phase II project of Huahong's integrated circuit R&D and manufacturing base has a total investment of $6.7 billion. It will have a monthly production capacity of 83,000 12-inch integrated circuit chips.
The China headquarters project of Swedish industrial company Atlas Copco's industrial compressor business has a total investment of 3 billion yuan ($415.57 million) and will have an annual output of 163,000 air compressors and related spare parts.
The 700-million-yuan Phase III project of Wuxi International Life-Science Innovation Campus aims to create an incubation and innovation platform integrating biopharmaceutical research and development, technology transfer, and professional services.
