HK biz representatives seek further cooperation in Sanya

A delegation of representatives from Hong Kong chambers of commerce, associations and enterprises visited Sanya from May 7 to 9, aiming to enhance the high-quality development of the Sanya Demonstration Area for bilateral exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong and Hainan.

Raymond Yip, the general representative of the Hong Kong Office of the Hainan Provincial Bureau of International Economic Development, said that the representatives of the delegation are from various sectors such as jewelry, retail, investment, technology and tourism, and are expected to deepen their understanding of Sanya and explore opportunities to collaborate within the local service industry.

"We hope to make good use of the Hainan Free Trade Port policy advantages, and the platform of the Sanya Demonstration Area to promote collaboration with Sanya in the areas of financial services, tourism and education," added Amy Siu, the honorary president and executive vice president of the Hong Kong Chinese Chamber of Commerce.

Comprehensive discussions and exchanges focusing on the sectors of yachts, tourism consumption and deep-sea technology were also carried out during the three-day event.
