ZTT Submarine Cable Co, a benchmarking enterprise in the industry, is aligning with the national maritime power strategy by advancing its core products, explained Pan Pan, the company's chief engineer.
Based in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA), the company has successfully addressed the demand for greater transmission capacity in cross-linked polyethylene insulated submarine cables, achieving a maximum voltage of 500kV. Furthermore, it has developed a direct current cable with world's highest voltage, reaching approximately 535kV.

Technological innovation is the key to developing new quality productive forces. Post-delivery to clients, ZTT Submarine Cable employs digital twin technology to monitor submarine cables and equipment, enabling real-time feedback for technological enhancements, according to Pan.
Founded in 2004, ZTT Submarine Cable specializes in the R&D and manufacturing of the largest variety of submarine cables in China. Its products are widely used by grid, electric power, and petrochemical companies and exported to about 160 countries and regions. To date, it has undertaken 584 submarine cable projects.
With a national enterprise technical center, the company has obtained 112 patents for invention and 125 patents for utility models, winning the title of national high-tech enterprise as well as dozens of prizes at national and provincial levels.
