As part of the "Pudong Tour" event, a group of nearly 10 master's and doctoral students from renowned French universities visited Shanghai's Pudong New Area from May 8 to 10.
The participants are pursuing studies in prestigious institutions such as IP-Paris, Sorbonne University, and Paris-Saclay University, focusing on disciplines closely tied to Pudong's forefront industries like biology, computer science, and artificial intelligence.
Organized by the All-France Chinese Youth Science and Technology Innovation Association, the trip aimed to familiarize participants with Pudong's talent policies and cutting-edge industries, allowing them to expand their career prospects.
During their visit, the group engaged in discussions at the Pudong International Talent Station, learning about the region's industrial landscape and supportive policies for post-doctoral and international student entrepreneurship. Subsequent visits to key locations such as COMAC, Zhangjiang Robotics Valley, and cultural landmarks provided a comprehensive view of Pudong's development. Attendees said that the firsthand experience during the "Pudong Tour" offered valuable insights into the Pudong's research environment and opportunities.
One participant, Dr. Liu Lexuan from Sorbonne University, expressed a keen interest in Pudong's biochip technology and hopes to secure a related research position in the near future. "I have always been interested in Pudong because of its advanced biopharmaceutical industry. The concentration of biopharmaceutical companies, universities, and research institutes here is what attracts me the most. This 'Pudong Tour' has allowed me to experience the area's frontline research environment and atmosphere firsthand."
