Recently, two hydrogen logistics vehicles owned by Murata Energy Device Wuxi, a company located in Wuxi New District, were put into use, marking the inauguration of Murata's first hydrogen-powered logistics project in China.

These vehicles boast a quick refueling time of just eight to 10 minutes and a range of up to 600 kilometers. Compared to fuel vehicles, they are expected to reduce approximately 30 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions within eight to 12 months and transport over 1,700 tons of goods for the company.

The chairman of Murata's logistics partner, Jiangsu JD-Link International Logistics, announced plans to introduce three to five more hydrogen-powered vehicles in the second half of the year. Additionally, plans are in place to introduce hydrogen-powered ships to further expand the scope of hydrogen energy applications.

WND is accelerating its hydrogen energy industry layout. In April 2021, the first hydrogen bus route in the city was launched in the district, with an initial fleet of five buses hitting the roads.

"Compared with pure electric buses, hydrogen-powered buses have advantages such as shorter refueling time and longer range," said a director from WND's public transportation company.

Currently, WND has gathered a cluster of high-quality projects, including Bosch China's hydrogen fuel cell center and CR Gas' Shuofang hydrogenation station, forming a comprehensive development pattern covering hydrogen production, refueling, fuel cells, and hydrogen vehicles.
