The "Silk Road E-commerce" Serbian Specialty Product Launch Event recently opened at the Greenland Global Commodity Trading Hub in the Hongqiao International Central Business District, following the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on E-commerce Cooperation between China and Serbia.
As a pilot zone for Silk Road e-commerce cooperation, Shanghai hosted the event to open up new channels for trade in goods and services and create new opportunities for economic and trade cooperation between the two nations.
The event promoted specialty products from Serbia, with blueberries and wine that were recently approved for import taking center stage.

At the event, Sasa Jeremic, acting consul general of Serbia in Shanghai, promoted Serbian products to the attendees and highlighted direct flights from Belgrade to Shanghai and Guangzhou.
Agreements were signed to expand e-commerce cooperation, with Greenland Global Commodity Trading Hub and JD.com among the signatories.
The event also highlighted the Serbia Imports Pavilion located on the third floor of the Greenland Global Commodity Trading Hub. The pavilion has become an important venue for promoting Sino-Serbian trade cooperation and cultural exchange as it showcases a variety of Serbian specialties like red wine, dried fruits, and honey, and has successfully hosted dozens of events, such as new product launches, business matchmaking, and tasting sessions.
