According to the Guizhou Provincial Bureau of Big Data, the total computing power of Southwest China's Guizhou province is currently 31.76 EFLOPS, ranking among the best in the country.
Among them, the province’s intelligent computing power has reached 28.83 EFLOPS, accounting for over 90 percent of the total, making Guizhou one of the regions with the most domesticized intelligent computing power resources and strongest capabilities in the country.
Guizhou has strived to develop the computing power market, supporting and incentivizing enterprises, universities, and research institutions, both within and outside the province, to purchase computing power services.
In the first quarter of this year, Guizhou issued 89 local computing power coupons to 72 companies that have purchased its computing power resources. Through this effort, it achieved a total contract amount of 1.98 billion yuan ($273.62 million) and a computing power output value of 1.02 billion yuan.
In 2023, with the outbreak of large-scale artificial intelligence models, Guizhou seized the opportunity of developing intelligent computing, transforming its data centers from storage centers into integrating storage and computing centers that give priority to intelligent computing.
Up to now, Guizhou has deployed 101,700 intelligent computing power chips. The goal is to increase the number of domesticized computing power chips in use by 7.8 times by 2025.
