Since May, Sanya Phoenix International Airport has put a lychee-priority transportation channel into operation to meet the market demands and help increase lychee transport efficiency.
Lychee is very delicate and needs to be transported and stored with consideration. To ensure the freshness of the lychee, the logistics service needs to be efficient. As of May 7, the airport has ensured the transportation of 2,123 metric tons of lychees, and the service is scheduled to last until June this year.
The airport's priority channel for lychee allows lychee to be directly proceeded and inspected upon arrival at the domestic cargo station. Corresponding signs in the station have been set up to improve the transfer efficiency.
Of note is that the experience of lychee's transportation mode is expected to be combined with the characteristics of other different goods to develop a tailored guarantee scheme, extending its application to various goods transport operations.
