The Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark, a collaborative effort between China and Germany, is now home to 37 German-speaking companies with a total investment of $480 million. Emphasizing green industries, the park has developed three major industry clusters: smart manufacturing, genetic technology, and energy conservation and environmental protection.
On April 25, the Qingdao-Germany Economic, Trade and Cultural Tourism Cooperation Meeting was held in Stuttgart, Germany, attracting over 160 representatives from Qingdao, German enterprises, and institutions. During the event, representatives from German companies in the Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark shared insights into the investment and development of their enterprises in Qingdao.
The Qingdao FTZ has played a crucial role in fostering openness and enhancing collaboration with Germany, while the Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark has emerged as a pivotal platform for advancing cooperation in low-carbon industries. Looking ahead, there will be increased efforts to bolster collaboration between the two sides in the fields of automotive, chemical, manufacturing, energy, and cultural tourism.
