Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, held a concentrated groundbreaking ceremony for 44 key projects in the second quarter of 2024, on May 7.
These projects, with a total investment of 26.07 billion yuan ($3.61 billion) and an annual planned investment of 6.61 billion yuan, span across various sectors including innovation-driven advanced manufacturing, the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, modern services, social services, cultural tourism, major infrastructure, and ecological conservation.
Specifically, there were 18 projects related to innovation-driven advanced manufacturing. They have a total investment of 11.11 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 2.86 billion yuan.
Additionally, four projects focused on the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. These projects have a total investment of 1.27 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 400 million yuan.
These projects will effectively optimize the industrial structure of the city.
In addition to industrial development, the projects launched also covered urban construction and social welfare. These projects aim to ensure the well-being of the residents while also promoting development.
Among these projects were 12 related to social services and cultural tourism, two projects in the modern services sector, six projects focusing on the advancement of major infrastructure, as well as two projects for ecological environment improvement.
All of these projects will strongly improve the quality and efficiency of the city's industrial development. They will also enhance the quality of urban functions and effectively drive regional economic and industrial development.
