Recently, Wuhan Guanggu Future School, which is based in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC), and Ruthin School from the United Kingdom officially became sister schools.
Both parties will enhance comprehensive exchanges and cooperation in school culture, curriculum systems, teacher visits, winter and summer camps, and mutual recognition of student status. Wuhan Guanggu Future School will offer free registration of Ruthin School student status to outstanding first-year high school students. Ruthin School will issue its graduation certificates to qualified students registered at Wuhan Guanggu Future School.
Additionally, Ruthin School will provide consulting services to students from Wuhan Guanggu Future School who are applying to top UK universities such as Oxford and Cambridge.

Ruthin School is one of the oldest schools in Britain, with a history dating back to AD 1284, spanning over 700 years. The school aims to cultivate students who are confident, polite, self-disciplined, and socially responsible.
About 81 percent of Ruthin School's students are international students, with a university entry rate of 100 percent. In recent years, many international students have achieved outstanding results, with 45 percent of them entering the top 20 universities worldwide.
Wuhan Guanggu Future School currently has over 5,200 students and more than 500 teaching staff members. Using a range of scientific methods, the school focuses on developing students' mathematical and logical thinking, language skills, physical fitness, artistic engagement, and good habits. In April 2023, the school was awarded the title of one of China's top 10 well-known private schools.
David Booker, the education director of Ruthin Education Group, extended an invitation to representatives from Wuhan Guanggu Future School to visit Ruthin School. It is his hope that both sides can celebrate Ruthin's 740th anniversary together.
