The 2024 China Small, Micro and Special Robot Competition and Innovative Development Conference, co-hosted by the National Academy of Safety Science and Engineering, Wuxi's Xinwu district, and China Electronics Technology Hik Group (CETHIK), was held in Wuxi on May 8.
The event featured a private semi-final competition, where eight innovative robotics projects, including inspection robots, mobile charging robots, foldable drones, and high-mobility adaptive robots, competed for a place in the final round. These semi-finalists were vying for various rewards, including cash prizes, potential investment, government support, and other incentives to help boost their development.
During the event, the Wuxi Small, Micro and Special Robot Industrial Park was inaugurated, with eight projects signing contracts to establish operations in the park. This new industrial park aims to create a hub for robot chips, modules, and smart applications.
Xinwu district announced 12 new industrial policies centered on four areas including accelerating industrial clustering, strengthening enterprises, and promoting technological breakthroughs. These policies aim to ensure the sustained and healthy development of the industry.
