Amid the vibrant orange and yellow hues painting the streets, the much-awaited loquat season has finally arrived in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, exciting fruit lovers far and wide.
A dedicated street, brimming with stalls selling this seasonal delight, was unveiled on May 9 at No 111 Fushi Lu in Kecheng district, beckoning passersby to indulge in the succulent fruit.
"We are thrilled to welcome the loquat season. This year's harvest is both succulent and flavorful, a true reflection of the favorable growing conditions," said farmer Shu Lei, a seasoned cultivator with over a decade of expertise in nurturing the fruit.
Loquats, abundant in vitamins and offering a refreshing taste, not only serve as a delightful snack but also as a wholesome addition to any diet. Whether enjoyed fresh or incorporated into a myriad of culinary creations, this versatile fruit remains a beloved seasonal staple.
Local loquats are renowned for their freshness, rich flavor, and pleasant texture. Peak loquat season begins next week and will only last for a month, which hardly seems enough time to relish this delectable fruit.
