The 2024 Hohhot International Youth Ice Hockey Invitational Tournament concluded successfully on May 5 in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, marking a significant step forward in ice and snow sports development.
The event attracted 26 excellent youth ice hockey teams from 12 regions, including Russia and Mongolia, as well as teams from various cities across China. With over 350 participants, the tournament featured contests in four categories: U12, U14, U8, and U10.
After six days of intense competition, the winners were announced, including teams from Hohhot, Mongolia, and Hailaar in the U14 category.
The tournament showcased outstanding performances and highlighted Hohhot's commitment to ice sports development. Hohhot's focus on the development of ice and snow sports has led to it hosting several high-level events that have contributed to the enhancement of the city's sports standards.
This successful tournament not only promoted youth ice sports, but also demonstrated Hohhot's achievements nationally and internationally, injecting new energy to accelerate the development of its youth ice hockey sector.
The city continues to prioritize green open, and honest sports principles as it contributes to the Belt and Road Initiative, and advances ice and snow sports in China.
