German testing and certification company TÜV Rheinland launched its New Energy Components & Accessories Testing Center in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, on Thursday.
"On the occasion of the 30th-anniversary celebration of TÜV Rheinland (Guangdong) Ltd, we are full of confidence in the overall development of the Chinese economy, particularly the economic development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area," said Wong Yushun, CEO and President of TÜV Rheinland Greater China.
Looking ahead, TÜV Rheinland will increase investment in multiple cutting-edge fields, such as carbon and sustainable development, hydrogen and fuel cells, new energy vehicles and their supporting facilities, information security, optical storage and charging technology, robotics and intelligent equipment, 5G and the Internet of Things and high-end medical devices, to keep up with market trends and meet the constantly upgrading needs of customers, he said.
"Meanwhile, we will further strengthen the cultivation and training of professional talent, continuously improve the service network and laboratory layout in the Chinese market by organically combining internal and external growth strategies, empower enterprise technological innovation and help the products made in China to go global," Wong added.
Xia Bo, Vice-President of TÜV Rheinland Greater China Business Stream Products, said the company is involved in new energy, providing services covering the entire industry chain, including subsectors such as solar energy, energy storage systems, hydrogen energy, wind power, lithium-ion batteries, fuel cells, new energy vehicles, charging equipment and facilities.
"Over the years, we have witnessed and participated in the development and transformation of China's new energy industry," he said.
As an independent third party, TÜV Rheinland will make every effort to provide international, professional, and comprehensive services for domestic independent brands and help local companies promote new quality productive forces and implement high-quality development, Xia said.
TÜV Rheinland will also further improve certification efficiency and implement global development strategies, allowing more high-quality "Chinese smart manufacturing companies and products" to enter offshore target markets, enhancing the competitiveness and brand influence of Chinese enterprises in overseas markets, he said.
