The Versailles Royal Opera House celebration concert and Virtually Versailles exhibition recently opened in Hangzhou, celebrating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France as well as the China-France Cultural Tourism Year.
At the opening ceremony, the Versailles Royal Opera House Symphony Orchestra performed traditional celebratory music.
Running from May 2 to Oct 8, the exhibition showcases the collections of the Palace of Versailles using digital technology, providing visitors with an immersive experience.
Song Jingwu, vice-president and secretary-general of the China-EU Association, said that the event was a splendid cultural dialogue between China and France, with China presenting exhibitions titled Colorful Guizhou and White in China, and France hosting its own exhibitions called Virtually Versailles and So French So Chic Lifestyle.
