The Labor Day holiday ended in Ningbo, Zhejiang province with bustling crowds at its various attractions.

According to the latest data from Ctrip, this holiday season witnessed a 14 percent increase in flight bookings to destinations in Ningbo, along with a remarkable 113 percent surge in the city's inbound tourism orders.

Ningbo's top destinations during the holiday included the Xikou-Tengtou Scenic Area, Tianyige Museum, Ningbo Fangte Oriental Heritage, Romon U-Park, and Xiangshan Global Studios.

Despite the Xikou-Tengtou Scenic Area temporarily closing the Xuedou Mountain area for infrastructure upgrades starting May 1, the area still welcomed over 250,000 visitors over the five-day holiday. Meanwhile, Tianyige Museum issued consecutive alerts as visitor reservations approached maximum capacity.

With temperatures on the rise, more and more night owls are venturing outside. A visitor surnamed Zhu is among them. Zhu noted that the increased nighttime activities and options available in Ningbo make the city much more vibrant.

During the holiday, many attractions in Ningbo adopted a "day and night" operation model. In collaboration with influencers related to traditional Chinese culture, Ningbo Fangte Oriental Heritage introduced an event featuring martial arts parades, light shows and fireworks. Visitors to Ningbo Daren Village enjoyed activities such as acrobatics, pony shows, and water performances from 9 am to 10 pm.

The night cruise at Dongqian Lake was also popular.

According to an employee, Dongqian Lake opened the Hanling Pier this year, extending its night cruise operations from 6 pm to 8:30 pm during the five-day holiday, with plans to operate on Saturdays and Sundays in May and June and normalize operations in July and August.
