A series of activities marking Xi'an's consumption promotion year and the 2024 Shaanxi "trade in old for new" campaign were launched in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on April 26.
This year, Xi'an will focus on key areas such as international consumption, domestic branded products, online shopping, culinary experiences, and community consumption, organizing and planning a series of consumption promotion activities.
At the launch ceremony, Huang Yuhui, director of the Xi'an municipal bureau of commerce, introduced the 2024 activities marking Xi'an's consumption promotion year and delivered a speech to mobilize efforts to promote the "trade in old for new" campaign in Xi'an.
It is expected that more than 1,600 companies will participate at over 10,000 retail stores, benefiting over 2 million consumers and aiding in the recovery of the consumer market.
Also, the Xi'an municipal bureau of commerce will increase policy guidance and support, as well as help key enterprises in the automotive, home appliance, home furnishing, electronics, and online consumer sectors to carry out community activities for the "trade in old for new" campaign. This will introduce more green, intelligent, and high-quality consumer goods into residents' lives.
