Located at the junction of Zhejiang, Fujian, and Jiangxi provinces, Nianbadu Ancient Town is often hailed as the "Gateway to the Southeast China regions" and the "Throat of Fujian".
The town, which is a national 5A scenic attraction, is akin to an "open-air museum of traditional architecture", featuring wood-carving, vibrant murals, and intangible cultural heritage such as puppetry.
Today, 3,397 households still reside in the town.
