The construction progress of the Guiyang-Pingtang Expressway has reached significant milestones, with roadbed and bridge construction exceeding 80 percent, and tunnel construction progressing on schedule.
Stretching approximately 174 kilometers from Yangchang town in Wudang district, Guiyang city, to Pingtang county in the Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, the expressway is designed for a speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
This project plays a crucial role in accelerating the development of the urban economic circle in Guiyang city and Gui'an New Area. It will also significantly promote the rapid development of the urban cluster in central Guizhou, thus contributing to the province's transportation infrastructure and overall economic growth.
A noteworthy aspect of the project is the introduction of intelligent prefabrication technology for the production of Jersey barriers, which are concrete barriers that are used to separate lanes of traffic. Up to 90 barriers are being produced per day in order to meet the demands of the Guiyang-Pingtang Expressway project.
