Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office and Thailand's Phuket Provincial Administration Organization (PPAO) held a meeting in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on April 15, having in-depth exchange on deepening cooperation in trade, tourism, and education, and reaching mutual agreements.
Rewat Areerob, president of PPAO, and Han Liyun, Director of Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office made introductions during the meeting.
Other attendees included Yang Liu, Deputy Director of Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office, and people from the international liaison office of PPAO and Guiyang People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
Han extended a warm welcome to Areerob and his delegation for their second visit to Guiyang, expressing gratitude for the president's efforts in promoting exchanges and cooperation between Guiyang and Phuket Province.
After briefing on the latest economic and social development of Guiyang, Han said that over the past year of friendly exchanges between Guiyang and Phuket Province, they achieved practical and effective cooperation results. She proposed specific working suggestions for further deepening economic and trade cooperation, expanding tourism cooperation, and broadening educational cooperation, hoping to receive support from Phuket Province to jointly advance and deliver on these proposals.
Areerob responded to the cooperation suggestions one by one, and proposed practical suggestions in areas such as mutual tourist destinations, new energy vehicle trade, and inter-school cooperation.
Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office will work with relevant departments and Phuket Province to jointly formulate implementation plans based on the consensus reached during the meeting, striving to promote more cooperative projects.
