Located beneath the Small Wild Goose Pagoda in the southern part of Xi'an, the Xi'an Museum safeguards the city's ancient history and showcases its unique charm.
It is gradually becoming a popular destination for both residents and tourists.
In 2023, the museum participated in eight international exhibitions, lending out 282 cultural relics for display and actively engaging in international museum exchanges. It established friendly relationships with institutions such as the National Museum of Kyoto, the Nara National Museum, and the Kyushu National Museum in Japan.
From January to October 2023, the museum welcomed 2.1 million visitors, marking a 447.23-percent year-on-year increase. It also hosted 64 public educational events with nearly 5,000 attendees.
The museum continues to innovate how it presents traditional cultural narratives, offering interactive activities, handicraft workshops, night tours, and various study tour programs.
Also, it has launched several original high-quality exhibitions, incorporating multimedia means such as virtual flip books, digital holographic demonstrations, and interactive displays.
In addition, the museum has collaborated with over 80 third-party companies to develop a diverse range of cultural and creative products.
Moreover, Tang Dynasty (618-907) themed table flags and menus were jointly launched by the museum and the Institute of Tang Brocade Research Institute. They were used during the China-Central Asia Xi'an Summit banquet.
