An innovation competition for State-owned enterprises directly administrated by the central government was initiated in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) on April 16, hosted by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), and organized by Dongfeng Motor Co.
Wang Xiaoliang, deputy head of the innovation bureau of SASAC, as well as many senior officials from the Hubei and Wuhan governments, were present at the event.
The competition is dedicated to building an open and collaborative innovation platform to promote the application of research and development achievements from State-owned enterprises. This edition of the competition focused on strategic emerging industries and future industries.
A total of 495 projects from various innovative entities were submitted. Among them, 46 projects have been selected to conduct roadshows.
The research institute of Dongfeng Motor Co inked cooperation agreements with the State Key Laboratory of Intelligent Green Vehicles and Mobility and CSAE Automotive Innovation and Strategy Institute respectively, pledging to work together in sci-tech innovation, research, and talent nurturing. A new energy vehicle technological achievement transfer-themed forum was also held at the event.
