With this move, both sets of bronze chariots and horses from Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum are finally on public display at their original excavation site.

In 1978, two sets of bronze chariots and horses were unearthed to the west of Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum. These artifacts possessed complete sculptures, splendid decorations, and exquisite craftsmanship.

On May 18, 2021, the No 2 bronze chariot and horses were relocated to the newly completed museum for bronze chariots and horses. During this time, the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum began its preservation and maintenance work on the No 1 chariot and horses.

Cultural heritage preservation workers systematically, comprehensively, and scientifically preserved and maintained the No 1 bronze chariot and horses in order to ensure its stability and safety during packaging, transportation, and exhibition.

The museum for bronze chariots and horses currently includes an entrance hall, three exhibition halls, and an interactive area for visitors. It showcases how the bronze chariots and horses were excavated, their magnificent craftsmanship, as well as related weapons, chariots and horse equipment. This presents a comprehensive view of the history and culture of these artifacts.

Moving forward, the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum will continue to carry out research and preservation work on the bronze chariots and horses, increase the use of digital technology to showcase and interpret the value of artifacts, and expand the channels for the dissemination of cultural relics.
