As a child from Gansu province, I flew kites and caught butterflies with my friends in the fields in spring; we caught small fish and played hide-and-seek by the creek in summer. As the weather cooled in autumn, I helped my grandparents harvest corn in the fields, experiencing the joy of a bountiful harvest; in winter, I played in the snow with my friends. Growing up in the four seasons in Gansu province, I was surrounded by the love of my family, the pure friendship of my friends, and the careful guidance of my teachers. In the vast countryside, the farmers are simple and kind, many people protected us youngsters with their love.
