In recent updates from Guangzhou development district (GDD), several key projects are rapidly advancing towards completion, ushering in new opportunities for innovation and industry development.
Firstly, BeiGene's Guangzhou biopharmaceutical production base for antibody-drug conjugates (ADC) has been officially completed and put into operation in the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City. This 58,000-square-meter facility will serve as a vital hub for BeiGene's ADC drug research and production, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and systems ensuring efficient and high-quality processes. Plans include doubling production capacity by 2024 to meet increasing demand for innovative drugs.

Meanwhile, Guangzhou Kingmed's international medical in vitro diagnostic industry innovation center project has achieved a milestone with the topping out of its main structure. Located in Guangzhou International Biotech Island in GDD, this 57,000-square-meter center will integrate with Guangzhou Kingmed's headquarters, becoming a leading international medical testing and pathology diagnosis platform upon completion in 2025.

Additionally, significant progress is underway at the Guangdong provincial large animal model research center project in Guangzhou Science City. The construction of this 25,000-square-meter facility, featuring a 16-story experimental building and various functional zones, aims to elevate Guangzhou's pharmaceutical R&D capabilities.
Furthermore, the Leadman Industrial Base's in vitro diagnostic center project is also being built in the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City. This initiative will establish Leadman Guangzhou Operations Headquarters and POCT product platform, supporting the emerging IVD biotechnology sector in the Greater Bay Area.
Lastly, the Guangzhou (Huangpu) Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Digital Innovation Park project is progressing swiftly, promising to become a modern industrial park focusing on "smart manufacturing + digital" industries.
