An exhibition on calligraphy and paintings was held at the Public Cultural Center in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA), Jiangsu province, on April 9.
These artworks were created by the artists in Nantong who have won the Lanting Award, the top prize for Chinese calligraphers. Since its first edition in 2001, seven Nantong artists have received the prize.
The exhibition displays 77 artworks involving calligraphy, seal cutting and traditional Chinese paintings.
To mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of NETDA, these artists have also created a number of celebratory special works and donated them to a local library.
Organized by the NETDA Library and NETDA Cultural Center, the exhibition will run until April 29 and will be available at Haimen Art Museum and other locations after April 29.
