Liangjiang recognized for low-carbon financial services

On April 8, Yufu Industrial Park, Shuitu Industrial Park, and SERES' Liangjiang workshop in Liangjiang New Area were selected as demonstration projects for Chongqing's low-carbon financial service industry.

Chongqing is accelerating the construction of a green financial reform and innovation pilot zone, promoting the development of related green industries, improving green and low-carbon technologies, and fostering a demonstrative effect on the economic development of the region.

Yufu Industrial Park focuses on automotive manufacturing, with approximately 78 percent of its enterprises engaged in automotive assembly and related businesses. Additionally, the park also develops strategic emerging industries and service industries such as new energy, electronics, equipment, and modern logistics.

In Shuitu Industrial Park, advanced manufacturing and modern service sectors are integrated, with a focus on the electronics information and biopharmaceutical industries. The park has constructed 12 green spaces, with a total of 5.45 million square meters of greenery. Its comprehensive greening coverage has reached 42 percent.

SERES' Liangjiang workshop is designated as a Chongqing Green Factory. The workshop utilizes various methods to achieve green production, including the establishment of its own sewage treatment station. SERES has partnered with China Mobile to create a 5G + smart factory. Together, they have developed multiple 5G application scenarios, effectively improving production efficiency by 20 percent, reducing product defect rates by 15 percent, and shortening product R&D cycles by 10 percent.
