The first seminar of key technology transformation and project road shows of Western China Science and Technology Innovation Harbour (iHARBOUR) took place at Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), on April 9.
More than 2,000 people participated in the seminar, including experts, scholars, students, and industry representatives from various universities, research institutions, and financial organizations across the country.
Lu Jianjun, secretary of CPC XJTU Committee, introduced XJTU's recent practices in advancing the integrated development of education, science and technology, and talent at the event. He stated that the university has released its "Global Development Action Plan 2024-30", and that it will focus on expanding its overseas innovation platforms, while continuing to bridge international and domestic innovation chains.
During the keynote speeches, 12 senior experts from different fields delivered speeches on four main themes: "exploring the pathways and models for the transformation of key technologies", "constructing an industry-education-research integration ecosystem based on the deep integration of the four chains", "effective supply of science and technology finance to assist the development of new quality productive forces", and "empowering the construction of a modern industrial system with key technologies".
On the day, eight road show sessions were also held. They covered fields such as semiconductors and integrated circuits, artificial intelligence and big data, precision instruments and equipment, modern equipment manufacturing, new materials, biomedicine and health, energy conservation and environmental protection, and new energy.
