Datong city in Shanxi province recently welcomed spring by planting 2,000 new crabapple trees along the city's east and south walls, creating a delightful leisure destination for residents and tourists alike.

The city's wall belt park, known for its scenic beauty, now features a variety of crabapple species, totaling 16 varieties. When these trees bloom, their vibrant colors and graceful forms create a stunning spectacle, attracting admiration from visitors.

Prior to this, the park already had over 12,000 crabapple trees covering an area of over 100,000 square meters, primarily concentrated along the west and northwest sections of the city walls. The blooming crabapple flowers in late April are a favorite among locals and tourists alike.
