The ecology and environment bureau of the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area, or NETDA, recently issued both the environmental impact assessment report and permission for sewage discharge to a local business simultaneously, setting a record in the development area's approval time.
Nantong Huanbang Environmental Technology Co decided to relocate in NETDA in 2023. However, the company was not allowed to start its relocation or operations before obtaining an environmental impact assessment report and permission for sewage discharge.
After learning of Huanbang's difficulties, the local ecology and environment bureau actively communicated with the company and arranged officials to offer guidance.
Piloting the simultaneous issuing of the assessment report and permission signifies NETDA's crucial move in streamlining administrative approval and improving services. The bureau is determined to further promote the streamlined procedure and contribute to an improved business environment in the development area.
