The direct flights from Linfen city in North China's Shanxi province, to Shenzhen in South China's Guangdong province, and Urumqi in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, commenced operation on April 2.
Jointly launched by Baohua Shengshi International Travel Agency and Linfen Yaodu Airport, these direct flights operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
These routes aim to promote the high-quality development of the cultural and tourism industry in Shanxi province, as well as to deepen cooperation between Shanxi and other tourist regions across the country.
The direct flights not only facilitate Shanxi residents to travel outside the province, but also make it convenient for tourists from Guangdong and Xinjiang to visit Shanxi.
Baohua Shengshi International Travel Agency leverages the cultural and tourism resources of Shanxi to design tourism routes, such as "Returning to Shanxi in Spring" and "Enjoying the Ancient Charm of Shanxi". These routes cover six national 5A-rated and five 4A-rated scenic spots in the province.
With the Qingming Festival holiday approaching, the travel agency has launched a promotion on air tickets for these direct flights. Currently, these discounted tickets are available for purchase at major civil aviation ticket offices, travel agencies, and online air ticket platforms.
Li Zhiwei, the general manager of the travel agency, stated that the direct flights are expected to play a positive role in promoting economic development and cultural exchange between Shanxi, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and Northwest China.
According to estimates, these direct flights will significantly increase the passenger throughput of Linfen Yaodu Airport.
