The 2024 Yantai Spring Shopping Season officially commenced on March 29 in Yantai.

This year, the Ministry of Commerce has rolled out a series of well-targeted policy measures aimed at shifting the focus of consumption from post-pandemic recovery to sustainable expansion, so as to stimulate domestic demand, boost consumer confidence and drive long-term economic growth.

In accordance with the key work arrangements of the central government and the Shandong Provincial Government, Yantai will carry out a series of consumer promotion activities from March to May in a coordinated manner between the city, counties, districts, and online platforms.

According to local officials, the 2024 Yantai Spring Shopping Season will revolve around aspects of spring in Yantai, including the city's flower seas, homestays, household appliances, and home decor. A series of consumer promotion activities will be held, allowing consumers to experience the vibrancy of spring and the delightful spending opportunities in Yantai. This initiative aims to stimulate consumption, drive the recovery of the consumption market, and launch year-long consumer activities.

The plaque awarding ceremony for the first stores was held at the opening ceremony of the event, awarding plaques to 21 brand first stores, including first stores in Yantai and throughout Shandong province.
