In addition to the avenue, 12 areas across the city, including the central business district, the sports park and the cherry blossom research institute, are hosting relevant activities, ranging from light shows, cultural product displays to live music performances and hanfu photography experiences.
Since its inception in 2015, the cherry blossom festival has attracted approximately 100,000 tourists. The city has more than 300,000 cherry trees, with Huaxia South Street alone being adorned with more than 30,000 cherry trees of 17 species.
Wu Erchuan, the general director of the festival, said: "This year, in our comprehensive planning, we have integrated performances and immersive experiences. Through immersive settings and narrative-driven content along our cherry blossom avenue, we aim to captivate the aesthetic preferences of today's youth and promote the cultural heritage of Hebi."
