OVC companies recognized in premium product selection

The first Hubei Premium Product Launch Ceremony was recently held in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, where the initial list of 155 Hubei premium products and services was unveiled.

Among them were 14 products developed by 12 companies based in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC).

The event was organized by the Hubei Provincial Market Regulation Bureau. Hubei premium products are identified as products, services, and projects produced or provided by market entities in the province that meet advanced domestic standards, demonstrate stable and reliable quality, and possess a good social reputation.

The OVC products awarded the title operate mainly in the optoelectronics and life and health sectors, including optical fibers, lasers, and infrared thermal imagers.

In recent years, the valley has invested nearly 20 million yuan ($2.82 million) annually to support market entities in leading and participating in the revision of advanced international and Chinese standards.
