China FAW Group has achieved a roaring success in the first quarter, with vehicle sales surpassing 743,000 units, marking a 9.5-percent year-on-year increase. Sales of domestic brands soared to over 208,000 units, reflecting a remarkable 46.1-percent growth.
Additionally, sales of the Hongqi brand surged past 100,300 units, witnessing a substantial 64.3-percent increase.
China FAW's three major independent brands, "Hongqi," "Jiefang," and "Bestune," have once again demonstrated their unquestionable strength and upward momentum with refreshed vehicle products and outstanding market performance.
On Feb 6, the launch ceremony for the FAW-Volkswagen E-lane³ project took place in Changchun, Jilin province. E-lane³ showcases FAW-Volkswagen's latest achievements in intelligent warehousing logistics and digital innovation, balancing the rigid and flexible demands within the supply chain. It represents a significant milestone in FAW-Volkswagen's digital transformation in production management.
The FAW-Volkswagen automotive test field, initiated in 2015 with a total investment of 1.75 billion yuan ($242 million), is the largest comprehensive automotive test field in Asia. It encompasses eight functional zones, including durability strengthening testing areas, airbag malfunction testing zones, dynamic squares, comprehensive performance testing areas, and high-speed circular tracks, with a total road length exceeding 60 kilometers, enabling a full range of vehicle development tests.
