The Hisilk Artwork Center project operated by Xiamen Fliport HSSY Company, a national cultural export base enterprise in the Xiamen Free Trade Zone, was included in the latest batch of national cultural industry demonstration bases announced by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on March 26.
The center has long been committed to contributing to the cultivation of literary and artistic talents through its works.
Since its establishment, the center has encouraged all kinds of artists to integrate art with technology, experience, installations, and more.
It is also dedicated to discovering the defining cultural characteristics of Fujian province and collaborating with artists and art institutions to enhance the economic and social benefits of cultural and artistic endeavors.
So far, the center has established joint teaching and practice bases with eight universities. It has also collaborated with over 200 art institutions and over 600 artists and inheritors of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) items from both sides of the Taiwan Strait and other regions. Related ICH projects cover 18 major categories.
The center aims to create a one-stop international art trading (bonded) platform for art imports and exports under the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as an integrated online and offline art industrail chain platform.
