China lifted the anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties imposed on imported Australian wine, in keeping with the shifting market conditions in the Chinese wine market, said He Yadong, spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce on Thursday.
Through joint efforts, China and Australia have reached a consensus on effectively resolving their trade disputes within the framework of the World Trade Organization, He said at a news conference.
China and Australia are important trading partners, and China expresses its willingness to engage in dialogue and negotiations with Australia to address mutual concerns and promote stable and sound development of bilateral economic and trade relations, He added.
The ministry, in response to the application made by the Australian Grape and Wine Incorporated, had conducted a reassessment of the necessity of imposing anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties on imported Australian wine from Nov 30.
