An exhibition -- the Civilizations of the Great Rivers, jointly organized by 16 cultural exchange organizations and museums from China and Italy, was opened to the public on March 22 at the National Maritime Museum of China located in Binhai New Area, Tianjin.
The exhibition showcases over 200 precious artifacts from ancient civilizations along Great Rivers, highlighting the remarkable craftsmanship of ancient people and the glorious history of river civilizations.
Prof. Federico Roberto Antonelli, director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing, said: "I believe selecting Tianjin Binhai New Area and the National Maritime Museum of China as one of the stops for the exhibition is a very meaningful decision. The successful hosting of this exhibition also benefits from the cultural exchange and cooperation between China and Italy. I hope that cultural exchange will serve as a starting point for broader cooperation between the two countries in various fields such as economy and trade in the future, and I also hope that there will be more similar projects landing in Tianjin in the future."
