Huaqiao University (HQU) and Xiamen Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital held a signing ceremony for the joint construction of the national language service export base and the national traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) service export base on March 12.
The partnership aims to develop new concepts, paths, carriers, and channels for the international preservation and dissemination of Traditional Chinese Medicine language and culture, thereby creating a new model of "Chinese Language + TCM" cooperation in Xiamen.
Lin Hongyu, vice-president of HQU, expressed that through the joint efforts of these two national bases, a new model of cooperation will be established, fostering the international preservation and dissemination of TCM language and culture.
HQU will utilize its public resource platform for language services to disseminate Chinese culture, including TCM culture, thereby contributing to the deepening of innovative development in Xiamen's service trade and promoting exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations.
The signing ceremony is an important measure to promote the internationalization of TCM, serve national strategies, and advance the development of the TCM industry in Xiamen, a modern and international city that attracts a significant amount of international talent.
Furthermore, HQU and Xiamen TCM Hospital will leverage their resource advantages in areas such as the Maritime Silk Road and BRICS to collaborate on developing international Chinese medicine language and cultural teaching resources and courses, as well as international talent training programs for both short and long-term study. This joint effort aims to better promote the preservation and development of TCM worldwide.
