The large-scale landscape live-reaction drama, Impression Liu Sanjie, celebrated its 20th anniversary in Lijiang Shanshui Theater on March 20.
The anniversary was highlighted by spectacular performances such as the "Lijiang River - Spring Tea" dance and the 100-people chorus titled "Grand Song of Dong Ethnic Group". Meanwhile, the event boasted a range of interactive activities and art display equipment, allowing visitors to try singing local folk songs themselves on a grand stage.

Impression Liu Sanjie was a collaborative effort between renowned Chinese and international artists. After a 5.5-year planning period and 109 revisions, the result was a wonderful combination of local folk songs, ethnic characteristics and Lijiang scenery. The event has been bringing riveting performances to visitors since 2004.
Over the past 20 years, the drama has been performed over 8,000 times, attracting an audience of over 20 million, including 3 million international guests. With the largest audience reception, the greatest influence and the highest annual turnover in China's cultural performance industry, the drama has contributed significantly to the local economy, establishing itself as a prominent cultural tourism trademark of Yangshuo county, Guilin.
Over the next 20 years, further improvements will be made to the drama in alignment with the latest development plan.
