On March 21, the OVC Brain Science Development and Innovation Conference was held in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as the Optics Valley of China, or OVC). During the conference, the OVC Brain Science Scientific Innovation Center was officially unveiled.
The center, established in collaboration with Wuhan Neuracom Technology Development Co and Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, focuses on brain-computer interface (BCI) technology. It will conduct in-depth research on the long-term stability, safety, and effectiveness of BCI micro-needles and electrodes.
The center is dedicated to achieving independent and controllable brain science industrial chains, and making significant contributions to human health and well-being. It aims to become a hub for top global scientists, providing an open research environment for researchers worldwide.
Huang Li, chief scientist and chairman of Neuracom, stated that brain science is a current global technological frontier and is considered by various countries as a future economic growth point and a leading engine for technological transformation. By leveraging the industrial advantages and technological foundation of the Optics Valley of China, the center will attract and cultivate more top brain science researchers, and promote the deep integration of brain science with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data analysis.
