Letters, regardless of when or where written, or whether created in ancient or modern times or in China or abroad, are a wonderful carrier of emotions. In Jinan, Shandong province, there is a building, with a history of more than a hundred years, that allows us to see the handwritten letters by Lin Huiyin (1904-55), the first female architect in modern China, and to converse with the sages within the letters’ yellow pages.
