Many companies in Xiamen have made efforts to boost their foreign trade exports, achieving strong results since the start of this year.

The export of labor-intensive products from Xiamen reached 18.2 billion yuan, an increase of 7.7 percent, the export growth of plastic products, furniture, and bags all exceeded 20 percent, and the export of flat panel display modules reached 2.35 billion yuan, an increase of 24.3 percent.

Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, a subsidiary of Xiangyu Group, recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Stolt-Nielsen, the world's largest operator of chemical tankers. It will construct six 38,000 DWT dual stainless steel chemical tankers for NYK Stolt Tankers, a subsidiary of Stolt-Nielsen.

Amphenol (Xiamen) High Speed Cable has also received numerous overseas orders. With the rapid development of artificial intelligence chips, there has been a significant increase in demand for high-speed cables.

It recently received many orders from the United States, including a new project worth approximately 500 million yuan.
