A training session for the construction of future factories, sponsored by the Wuhan municipal bureau of economy and informatization, was held in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) on March 15.
This series of activities aims to establish a complete four-tier system for nurturing digitalized production lines, demonstration intelligent workshops, benchmark intelligent factories, and leading digital enterprises. It also aims to accelerate the development of new quality productive forces in Wuhan, promoting the citiy's high-end, intelligent, and green development.
As of now, Wuhan has established 201 digitalized production lines, 102 demonstration intelligent workshops, 20 benchmark intelligent factories, and two leading digital enterprises.
VOYAH, an electric vehicle brand of Dongfeng Auto that is based in WEDZ, has established a 5G fully-connected smart factory for the intelligent manufacturing of new energy vehicles (NEVs). It has also created 15 intelligent scenarios related to research, production, supply, and sales. In November last year, VOYAH was selected as a 2023 Wuhan benchmark intelligent factory.
Last year, Wuhan's industrial technological transformation investment increased by 9.1 percent year-on-year, and the proportion of technological transformation investment in the city's industrial investment reached 55 percent, indicating a nearly three-year high.
