The Shaanxi Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition – as part of the China-Russia Cultural Year activities – was held at the Chinese Cultural Center in Moscow, Russia, on March 11.
The exhibition, jointly organized by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Chinese Cultural Center in Moscow, marked the first large-scale intangible cultural heritage exhibition held by Shaanxi in Russia.
The exhibition also received support from the Yulin municipal bureau of culture and tourism and Xi'an's Huyi district.
Through various art forms, such as pictures, texts, videos, and physical exhibits, the exhibition provided an overview of Shaanxi's intangible cultural heritage. It also featured sections for Shaanxi's paper-cuttings, folk paintings, and fabric art.
The exhibition also screened the promotional video "The Hometown of the Terracotta Warriors", which captivated guests. This video allows the audience to experience the rich diversity and unique characteristics of Shaanxi's intangible cultural heritage.
During interactions with Chinese guests, the Russian attendees gained a detailed understanding of the province's intangible cultural heritage, as well as the folk customs they stem from. This exchange led to discussions on similar traditional cultures in Russia.
The exhibition sparked a wave of enthusiasm for traditional Shaanxi culture in Moscow, attracting numerous artists, cultural scholars, and ordinary citizens.
