The 14th China International Energy Storage Conference and Exhibition kicked off at the Hangzhou International Expo Center on March 11.
Over 300 domestic and international companies along the energy storage industrial chain recently gathered to showcase new products and integrated solutions, with a focus on lithium batteries, flow batteries, and other emerging technologies.
According to data from the National Energy Administration, the cumulative installed capacity of new energy storage projects in operation across China has reached 31.39 million kilowatts. In 2023 alone, the installed capacity of such projects grew by over 260 percent compared to the end of 2022, nearly 10 times the capacity at the end of 2020. Eleven provinces in China have installed capacities exceeding 1 million kw. This year's Government Work Report includes the development of new energy storage for the first time, highlighting its importance to China's energy strategy.
