Considerable progress has been achieved since the commencement of the development of beautiful and livable villages in the Dianbai district in late February 2022.
By the end of January, 258 villages and communities in the entire district had passed the district-level assessment for beautiful and livable villages, with an 81.13 percent compliance rate. Notably, 10 streets have established district-level beautiful and livable villages, including Shuidong, Dianhai, Nanhai, Shalang, Danchang, and Nahuo Street.
Dianbai has categorized its 21 towns and streets into three groups for phased development, targeting 80 percent, 70 percent, and 60 percent compliance with beautiful and livable village standards by 2023.
Shalang town has been recognized as the third batch of national demonstration towns and villages for rural governance. The municipality has effectively improved the quality of life in the area through a well-thought-out land use plan, coupled with the encouragement of small-scale agricultural practices and the establishment of pocket parks.
Dianhai Street has focused on infrastructure renovation, improving rural transportation, and prioritizing the renovation of rural housing styles.
Shuidong Street has concentrated on revamping old urban communities and enhancing the quality of life and living environment.
Dianbai has completed environmental upgrades for 3,721 villages and will continue to promote the construction of beautiful and livable villages, aiming to create exemplary models of rural vitalization with local characteristics.
